DAVE KING
Dave graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in 1979 with a degree in Marine Science. Half of his 20 year Coast Guard career was spent aboard ships in Alaska and on the Great Lakes. He was also chosen to attend graduate school and earned an MBA from the University of Washington, Michael Foster School of Business.
Highlights of his career include two years as the Commanding Officer of the 95’ patrol boat, CAPE CORAL in Auke Bay, Alaska and three years as the Commanding Officer of the 180’ buoy tender, PLANETREE in Ketchikan, Alaska.
In 1999 he retired from the Coast Guard and was hired to manage Governor’s Land, an exclusive country club community, near Williamsburg, Virginia. In 2007 he and his wife, Peggy, purchased and moved aboard a 42’ sail catamaran where they cruised the Chesapeake Bay. The fall of 2010 they both retired and spent the next year transiting the Intracoastal Waterway and cruising the Bahamas. They returned to the Pacific Northwest in the fall of 2011 and Dave began working as a yacht broker at Breakwater Marina in Tacoma.
In July of 2014 Peggy and Dave purchased Bellhaven Yacht Sales and Charters. Dave recently (2016) passed the Certified Professional Yacht Brokers exam. He can now add CPYB to the list of other accomplishments.
CURT BAGLEY
Curt Bagley has been affiliated with the marine industry for 36 years. His experience is well rounded as a broker, boat owner and brokerage owner. . As a brokerage owner he has represented most all boats, both power and sail from the U.S., Canada, Taiwan, China, France and Germany. Curt is also endorsed by ASA as a certified powerboat instructor.
Curt has the honor of being one of the first in the nation to become CPYB certified. (Certified Professional Yacht Broker). CPYB certification means he has been trained and passed extensive testing to achieve that high standard of ethics, maritime law, marine construction, escrow accounting, licensing and closings. Over the years Curt has had the opportunity to also be factory trained with U.S. Marine Yacht division, Meridian Yachts, Tollycraft, Ocean Alexander and Navigator Yachts. He served for nine years on the board of the Northwest Yacht Brokers Association and was president for three years. He is currently on the Advisory Counsel for the Certified Professional Yacht Brokers of North America.
Most of all Curt enjoys helping boaters find the boat of their dreams and helping those boaters that wish to sell or trade up their boat. “I have made a lifetime of friends by representing them in all aspects of the industry over the years. RANDY NULLE
Randy grew up in Southern CA. He learned to sail through the Sea Scout program in Newport Beach in the 1970s. He was immediately hooked on sailing and quickly graduated to competitive offshore racing. While attending the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Randy was exposed to Puget Sound and boating in the Pacific NW.
Randy is a former delivery skipper and has raced in two Trans-Pac races from LA to Honolulu as well as numerous races up and down the Mexican coast. He has transited the Panama Canal, sailed the south pacific and delivered the first ever charter boat to the kingdom of Tonga.
Randy is a 35 year veteran of the boat industry. He was the National Sales Manager at Bayliner Marine. He and his team grew Bayliner into the world’s largest boat manufacturer at the time. Randy then joined Samson Rope as Sales Director of their Sailing Division, giving him experience in both power and sail.
He now lives in Bellingham with his wife of 30 years. He is an active member of the Bellingham Yacht Club and is the Principal Race Officer for the various sailboat racing programs.
DAVID BAGLEY
David, the son of well-known Pacific Northwest yacht broker Curt Bagley grew up in Bothell WA. before moving to Ferndale WA. in 1998. Boating has always been a part of his families life.
His prior experience with selling and representing boats comes from time spent at Lake Union Sea Ray in Fife, WA., Grand Banks Northwest in Seattle, WA and Irwin Yacht Sales in Seattle, WA.
He’s been looking for a good opportunity to take the skills he has learned in his previous positions, as well as from a lifetime of boating. David brings a fresh perspective, tenacity and eagerness to the position, which we believe will serve his clients very well.
David has earned his Certified Professional Yacht Broker (CPYB) credentials.
His other interest are flying, he also holds his multi-engine commercial pilots license and is soon to be a CFI (Certified Flight Instructor).
