ASA 101, 103 and 104: Overnight in the San Juan Islands!
Learn the fundamentals of sailing a large sailboat. All instruction takes place on the boat and you’ll have plenty of time at the helm and hands-on sailing. Learn sailing terminology, what makes a sailboat go, points of sail, basic knots, boating safety, “rules of the road” on the water, and docking. And, experience the cruising life while staying aboard your boat at an anchorage in the San Juan Islands!
There will be both a written and a skills test to complete the course. Thorough study of the text, Sailing Made Easy, by ASA, will prepare you for your course and greatly enhance your learning experience. Please bring your sleeping bag and provisions for 2 lunches, 1 dinner and 1 breakfast. Class size: maximum of 4. We don’t stuff our boat! Limiting the number students gives you more time on the helm.
|Class Dates: 2017|
NOTE: We realize how busy everyone’s life has gotten – so we are now offering the “weekend” class during the week as long as the boat is not out on charter. Please talk to one of the staff to see if we can get the right fit for your schedule.
PLEASE PROVIDE 2 DATE OPTIONS TO WORK WITH.
